The Peddi team is going all out with a massive promotional strategy ahead of its grand Bhopal event, especially after the trailer received mixed reactions from audiences. The makers are now banking heavily on the upcoming AR Rahman live concert, where a special song from the film will be unveiled before a huge live audience.
The scale of the event has become a talking point within industry circles, with reports suggesting a highly ambitious setup. Two chartered flights are being arranged from Hyderabad to Bhopal for AR Rahman’s team along with the film’s cast and crew. Additionally, nearly 200 hotel rooms have reportedly been booked to accommodate the entire unit.
What is drawing the most attention is the extensive technical arrangement planned for the concert. Massive LED screens are being transported from Indore, lighting equipment from Hyderabad, and musical instruments from Mumbai, making it one of the most elaborate promotional events in recent times.
Industry sources estimate that the total budget for this single event could be around ₹4 crore. AR Rahman’s live performance setup is also said to be highly premium, with reports claiming the sound equipment alone is valued at nearly ₹150 crore, and the one-day rental cost touching close to ₹1 crore.
The makers are expecting a crowd of nearly one lakh people, treating the event as a large-scale festival celebration rather than a typical film promotion. With such a grand arrangement, the team is hoping that the special song launch and AR Rahman’s live performance will significantly boost the film’s pre-release buzz.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, this emotional village drama is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 4, with grand premieres planned a day earlier on June 3. With the Bhopal event turning into a mega promotional spectacle, the team is confident that the film’s hype will regain strong momentum in the coming days.
