Prema Katha Chitram had set a new benchmark. Besides setting the BO on fire, the film had paved way for a new genre – Horror Comedy – in Tollywood leading several films to join the bandwagon. The makers of PKC have now come up with Prema Katha Chitram 2 to revive the trend. Whilst this is neither a sequel nor does it have same cast or director, the production house RPA Creations brings it with Sumanth Ashwin, Nandita Swetha under Hari Kishan’s direction.
The trailer has some fun moments. But unlike original where horror dominates and fear grips, this PKC 2 seems to be lacking in arising fear among viewers. Although this is just a trailer, it doesn’t have a strong impact like how its original had created. Clearly, Maruti’s magic seems to be missing going by the trailer of PKC 2.
For PKC 2 to work at the Box Office, it depends on comedy, horror generated between ghost and Sumanth Ashwin, comedians Vidyullekha Raman, Krishna Teja. Also, one has to see how Krishna Teja would match up to Saptagiri who had played a significant role in the first part. Overall, PKC 2 Trailer is just okay, but certainly it is no match to PKC.

Janhvi’s Role Gets a Second Chance
Janhvi Kapoor’s character in Ram Charan’s Peddi has emerged as one of the most debated aspects of the film. While commercial entertainers often feature glamour-oriented female leads, many viewers felt that the portrayal of Janhvi’s character lacked depth and failed to connect with audiences.
Critics and moviegoers raised concerns over her body language, character arc, and the overall way the role was presented. However, director Buchi Babu believes the character was well conceived on paper and that the issues arose during the editing stage.
Speaking in a recent interview, the filmmaker revealed that several scenes involving Janhvi’s character had to be trimmed due to runtime concerns. According to him, those cuts resulted in confusion and prevented audiences from fully understanding the emotional journey of the character.
One of the biggest criticisms centered on a sequence in the second half, where Janhvi’s character falls for the protagonist shortly after he says he does not understand the concept of consent and only knows how to express love. The scene sparked criticism from a section of viewers, who felt it lacked proper context and progression.
Addressing the controversy, Buchi Babu stated that two important scenes explaining the relationship dynamics were removed during editing, making the narrative appear incomplete. He added that those scenes would be incorporated into the film from Wednesday onwards.
Despite the director’s confidence, many viewers believe that adding the deleted scenes may not significantly impact the film’s box-office performance, especially with the negative perception surrounding the character already taking root.
However, some fans feel the additional footage could at least provide more clarity and reduce some of the criticism if the character appears stronger and better justified within the narrative. Whether the revised version changes audience opinion remains to be seen, but for now, Janhvi Kapoor’s role continues to be one of the most discussed elements of Peddi.
