Veteran South Indian actor Prakash Raj has once again found himself at the centre of a political controversy after a series of sharp exchanges on social media involving Jana Sena Party leaders and Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
Prakash Raj is often known for taking critical stands on political issues and expressing his views openly on platform X. In his latest post, he indirectly reacted to comments made by Jana Sena MLC Nagababu, who is also the elder brother of Pawan Kalyan.
Nagababu recently shared a cryptic message on social media stating that followers should trust their leader’s decisions without questioning them. “A leader’s word is final. None have seen devils and demons in his path; he alone knows what is right and what is wrong. Shut your doubts, silence your tongue, and follow the leader without questions,” he posted.
Though he did not name anyone directly, Prakash Raj responded strongly, emphasizing the importance of questioning leadership in a democracy. He stated that citizens are not “sheep or slaves” and have every right to question political decisions. According to him, any leader must be accountable and answer public concerns.
The controversy comes in the backdrop of Pawan Kalyan’s recent political statements about Jana Sena Party’s expansion in Telangana. He had asserted that “Telangana is not anyone’s personal estate” and indicated that the party would contest elections more actively in the state.
Following this, Prakash Raj had also taken a sarcastic dig on X, questioning whether Jana Sena would contest independently or in alliance. His remarks triggered a strong response from film producer Bandla Ganesh, who accused him of unnecessarily interfering in political matters outside his domain.
The ongoing exchange has now added fuel to the already heated political discussions, with social media platforms witnessing intense debates between supporters of both sides.
