Rahul Gandhi And Others To Meet President On Up Violence!

The opposition Congress which had condemned the Lakhimpur Kheri violence and raised its voice against the ruling outfit Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) in Uttar Pradesh had decided to take their fight to the next level.

The Congress leaders under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi are scheduled to meet the First Citizen of India, President Ram Nath Kovind today. It is said that the leaders will express their concerns over the incident and hand over a memorandum on the incident.

It took two days for the opposition party Congress to seek the appointment of the Honorable President. The appointment was confirmed on the 12th of this month while the appointment was sought on October 10th. In total eight Congress party leaders will meet the President.

Former Congress chief, serving Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi heads the delegation and it also has members like Gandhi scion Priyanka Gandhi, AK Anthony, Mallikarjun Kharge, KC Venugopal, Ghulam Nabi Azad, and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

The Congress party is not leaving any stone unturned to pressurize the BJP over the incident. The Congress leaders have slammed the government in the state and Centre as well for not letting them meet the family members of the victims who lost their lives in the violence that had rocked Uttar Pradesh.

Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi were not allowed to reach the Lakhimpur Kheri area earlier. After a lot of fighting, the Gandhi scions were allowed by the cops to meet the victims’ family members earlier this month.

In total eight people have breathed their last in the violence, including four farmers. The other four people were from the convoy of the Minister’s son. They were attacked by the farmer leaders who were not happy with the incident.

BJP and Congress have attacked each other on the incident. Congress had accused the saffron party Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP)of neglecting the Dalits. Hitting back at the opposition party, BJP asked Congress why the leaders are not showing any interest in meeting the kin of the victim who was beaten to death in Rajasthan.

As Rajasthan is ruled by the Congress, the leaders are trying to see that no one will talk about the Rajasthan incident, the BJP said.
