Ram Charan Failed, Can Akhil Akkineni Deliver

After scoring a blockbuster with Magadheera, Ram Charan featured in ‘Orange’ a realistic love drama that had a completely tonal contrast when compared to that of Magadheera. The drastic change in genres didn’t help the cause. The audience were hoping for a proper action thriller from Ram Charan after Magadheera, but they were served an intense love drama that had very little entertainment value. Also, Orange did not have any commercial elements. This is one of the main reasons why the film failed to click at the box office. There is no denying the fact that Orange has a follower base and a section of the audience adores the film. But as far as the box office parameters are concerned, Orange is a dud. Following which, Ram Charan never signed a full-on love drama. He has mostly been picking films that cater to all sections of the audience.

Now, Akhil Akkineni is coming up with Most Eligible Bachelor, which is billed to be a proper love drama with a slice of life theme, much like Ram Charan’s Orange. Most Eligible Bachelor is based on two individuals, Akhil, and Pooja Hegde who have a completely different approach in regard to marriage. While Pooja is more matured, Akhil believes that having a good career is a pivotal step ahead of marriage and later realizes that he is really confused about picking his life partner. Well, Orange has a plot that is very similar to that of Most Eligible Bachelor’s.

But the makers of Most Eligible Bachelor are not repeating the same mistake as with Orange. This time around, they have infused Most Eligible Bachelor with a whole lot of entertainment value, as shown in the trailer. The trailer implied that there’s a fair bit of comedy, romance, and other commercial elements in the Akhil Akkineni and Pooja Hegde starrer. The makers of the Akhil starrer are making sure that it caters to all sections of the audience. Also, it has a more contemporary take on modern day relationships. It remains to be seen if Akhil can score a hit with a genre that didn’t work very well for Ram Charan.

Nandamuri Balakrishna and director Koratala Siva are all set to collaborate for the very first time on an ambitious big-budget project that is already generating strong excitement among fans and trade circles. The makers are currently busy finalizing the cast and technical crew for the film.

Amid the growing buzz, an interesting speculation regarding the movie’s title has now caught everyone’s attention. According to industry reports, the team is strongly considering the title Carpenter for this mass entertainer. The title is said to carry a strong commercial appeal and is expected to connect well with audiences across India while perfectly matching Balakrishna’s larger-than-life image.

The film is reportedly being designed as a high-voltage mass action drama packed with commercial elements, powerful dialogues, and intense elevation sequences. A striking title like “Carpenter” is believed to offer strong recall value while also adding curiosity among movie lovers.

Adding further fuel to the speculation, production house Yuvasudha Arts has reportedly registered the title officially, indirectly hinting that it could almost be finalized.

Another major highlight of the project is the inclusion of sensational composer Anirudh Ravichander, who will be working with Balakrishna for the first time. Fans are eagerly waiting to witness how Anirudh’s energetic background score and musical style blend with NBK’s mass screen presence.

The film’s pooja ceremony is expected to take place on May 21, while a special video announcement is likely to be unveiled on Balakrishna’s birthday. Industry buzz suggests that the announcement video may feature Anirudh’s signature musical treatment similar to the stylish promotional videos seen in films of stars like Rajinikanth and Vijay.

The regular shooting schedule is expected to begin from July, and the makers are reportedly planning to release the film during the summer season next year.
