Samantha’s Ma Inti Bangaram is reportedly making strong waves at the box office, with trade circles closely tracking its impressive performance. Beyond its commercial success, industry buzz is also focused on the bold business model behind the film.
Unlike traditional releases, the film opted for a direct release strategy in several key centres, bypassing conventional distribution channels. This approach has allowed a larger share of revenue to flow directly to the producers, boosting overall profitability.
Industry insiders credit Samantha and Raj Nidimoru for confidently backing this unconventional strategy, which appears to be paying off well given the film’s strong reception. The project also benefited from a pre-release OTT deal, which significantly reduced financial risk.
Reports suggest Samantha did not take any remuneration for the film, treating it as a home production, while director Nandini Reddy ensured the shoot remained on schedule and within budget. This tight control over costs further strengthened the film’s financial outlook.
Estimates indicate that theatrical exposure was around ₹2 crore, while the film has reportedly gone on to achieve a worldwide gross of approximately ₹42 crore. The overseas market, especially the USA, is also said to have contributed significantly, with collections estimated at ₹5–6 crore.
With no major competing releases this week and steady audience interest, trade analysts believe the venture could ultimately yield profits in the range of ₹30–40 crore for Samantha and her team, marking it as a highly successful and well-planned production.
