The much-awaited combination of Rana Dagubati and Victory Venkatesh is all set to arrive during the Diwali season. As we know, both Babai and Abbai came together for a web series and it is titled ‘Rana Naidu’. This is an entertaining action series that will be streamed on Netflix. Previously, Rana and Venky danced together in ‘Krishnam Vande Jagathgurum’ film but this is going to be a full-fledged series. The shooting has been wrapped up and the buzz is quite high on this series. Venky is riding high on the success of ‘F3’ while Rana has faced a few setbacks in recent times like ‘Aranya’ and ‘Virataparvam’.
The Hindi teaser of ‘Rana Naidu’ has been released on the Netflix channel and it looks quite intense and gripping. Rana will be seen as a fixer that takes care of the dirty problems celebrities have and Venkatesh looked scary as a prisoner who comes out just to rock Rana’s world. The teaser focuses on Rana and reveals less about Venkatesh’s character. The kissing scenes and action part gives a clear idea of how the series is going to be. The dark and gritty tale of father and son is surely going to make for an engrossing drama.
The release date is yet to be announced. Karan Anshuman and Suparn Varma are jointly directing this series which is inspired from the Hollywood drama series ‘Ray Donovan’. They made the necessary changes to suit the Indian style. As we know, Chaitanya is also doing a web series for Amazon Prime. If ‘Rana Naidu’ succeeds, a lot of stars will consider acting in OTT content in the coming days. Let us wait and see what happens.
