Anirudh vs Sai Abhyankar Begins
July 11, 2026

Anirudh Ravichander and Sai Abhyankar are currently among the most sought-after music composers in South Indian cinema. With a series of successful soundtracks to their credit, both young musicians have emerged as leading names in the industry, consistently delivering chart-topping albums and impactful background scores.
Interestingly, the two composers are now set for an exciting musical comparison as they work on two ambitious mythological films inspired by Lord Murugan. Anirudh is composing the music for Jr NTR and Trivikram Srinivas’ much-anticipated God of War, while Sai Abhyankar has been roped in for Dhanush and Vetrimaaran’s newly announced Thamizh Murugan.
Although both films are reportedly based on Lord Murugan, they are expected to present distinct cinematic interpretations shaped by the unique storytelling styles of their respective directors. Nevertheless, the simultaneous production of two major projects centred on the same deity has naturally sparked curiosity among cinema lovers.
Music is expected to play a pivotal role in both films, particularly given the devotional and mythological backdrop. As a result, audiences are eager to see how Anirudh and Sai Abhyankar approach the challenge of creating emotionally powerful, spiritually resonant, and culturally rich soundtracks.
Known for their ability to blend traditional musical elements with contemporary orchestration, both composers have the opportunity to deliver memorable albums that could become defining aspects of their respective films. While comparisons between the two are inevitable, movie enthusiasts are looking forward to witnessing two unique musical interpretations that celebrate the legacy of Lord Murugan.
