Revanth Reddy Reviews Telangana Monsoon Preparedness, Focuses on Farmer Advisory

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy chaired a high-level review meeting on monsoon preparedness at the Secretariat on Monday, focusing on the state’s readiness for the upcoming southwest monsoon season.

Senior officials from the Agriculture, Irrigation, Municipal Administration, Panchayat Raj, Health, Home, HYDRAA, Disaster Management, and Fire Services departments participated in the meeting. Meteorological Department officials also presented a detailed PowerPoint briefing on expected rainfall patterns, the possible impact of El Niño, and other related climatic factors.

During the review, the Chief Minister instructed officials to create widespread awareness among farmers regarding the possibility of drought-like conditions. He emphasized the need to encourage farmers to adopt crops that require less water to ensure better resilience during uncertain rainfall.

Revanth Reddy also highlighted the importance of crop rotation and diversification, directing authorities to educate farmers on sustainable agricultural practices to improve long-term agricultural stability in the state.
