Salman Khan’s Maatrubhumi Awaits CBFC Clearance Amid Delay

Salman Khan’s upcoming film Maatrubhumi has reportedly run into fresh hurdles in the certification process, despite the makers implementing several changes suggested during the censor review. The film is still awaiting clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), putting its release plans in a state of uncertainty.

According to reports, the CBFC has not yet issued the film’s certificate even after multiple rounds of discussions. The delay has come as a surprise, as the production team was believed to have addressed the board’s key concerns.

The makers had expected the certification process to conclude smoothly after incorporating the recommended modifications. However, the approval process has taken longer than anticipated.

With the proposed release date approaching, the continued delay has raised concerns among the producers. If the certification is not granted soon, the film’s promotional campaign and distribution strategy could also be impacted.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Maatrubhumi stars Salman Khan alongside Chitrangada Singh. The film is reportedly based on the Battle of Galwan, a sensitive subject that may be undergoing additional scrutiny during the certification process.

For now, the team is awaiting the CBFC’s final decision. Whether Maatrubhumi receives clearance in the coming days or encounters further delays remains to be seen.
