Sam’s ‘Shaakunthalam’ Gets Shifted To April!

‘Shaakunthalam’ is one film which raised a lot of buzz ever since it was announced. With Samantha playing the lead role, the expectations were high on this film and Gunasekhar who made super hits like ‘Choodalani Vundi’ and ‘Okkadu’ directed it after a long time. His last film was ‘Rudhramadevi’ which came out back in 2015. ‘Shaakunthalam’ is a pan-Indian film and the shooting was completed at a rapid pace.

After a lot of postponements, the ‘Shaakunthalam’ team announced that the movie will be hitting the screens on February 17th. The trailer was also released and Gunasekhar gave a few interviews as well. A few days back, the makers revealed that the release date got pushed again. Now, the team came up with a new release date. The movie is all set to hit the big screens on 14th April worldwide. They released a poster that showcases all the important characters in the movie.

Music is composed by Mani Sharma while ‘Shaakuntalam’ is written and directed by Gunasekhar. Neelima Guna produced this film while Shekar V Joseph is the cinematographer. Prawin Pudi is the editor while Sai Madhav Burra penned the dialogues. Presented by Dil Raju, Dev Mohan will be seen as Dushyanta. Ananya Nagalla, Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu, Prakash Rah, Gautam, Kabir Bedi, Kabir Singh Duhan and others played key roles.

‘Shaakunthalam’ is arriving with decent hype and it has been kept in the boxes for a long time. Hope the movie releases in April finally!
