Sankranti race: Vijay to join Ravi, Rana, and Ram

This Sankranti was an eventful one as Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo set the box office on fire. But what followed later has been dreadful to say the least, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic and the consequent lockdown.

However, we are set to witness another highly exciting Sankranti season the forthcoming year as well.

Interestingly, Ram’s Red and Ravi Teja’s Krack are set to hit the silver screens on 14th January. Both the films will be releasing on the same day and this clash will be an interesting one. Also, Rana’s Aranya will be releasing the very next day, January 15th. These films are locking horns in what promises to be a jam-packed Sankranti festival season.

The latest update is that Tamil superstar Vijay will be joining Rana, Ram, and Ravi Teja in the Sankranti race. Incidentally, Vijay’s Master is all set to hit the big screens on 13th January. The film will be simultaneously releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Malayalam languages.

Vijay has built a decent market for himself in the Telugu states and his previous films like Sarkar, Adhirindi, and Whistle have done well in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The buzz around Master is quite high and it might well receive a good reception from Telugu audience.

This Sankranti, we have a total of 4 films namely Krack, Red, Master, and Aranya hitting the silver screens. Only time will tell how these films will fare at the box office.
