‘Uma Maheshwar Ugra Roopasya’ is the Telugu remake of Malayalam film, ‘Maheshinte Prathikaaram’. The film will be available for streaming on Netflix from July 15th. An official announcement in this regard was made a short while ago.
Venkatesh Maha, who previously made a sensible drama, ‘Care of Kancharapalem’ directed ‘UMUR’.
The teaser of ‘UMUR’ which was released a few weeks ago got a good response. The fact that the film is a remake of a Malayalam super hit is building it some goos anticipation amongst netizens.
The film was bankrolled by Arca media. It stars a mix of seasoned actors, theater artists and commoners.
‘UMUR’ is set out in Araku backdrop and was shot with sync sound technology.

PM Modi Asked Ram Charan About Peddi During Delhi Meeting

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan is actively promoting his upcoming pan-India film Peddi across the country. As part of the promotional tour, the Peddi team reached Delhi today to interact with media and fans.
During the promotions, Ram Charan shared an interesting interaction he had with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a recent visit to Delhi. According to Charan, PM Modi casually asked him, “What is this Peddi all about?”
Responding to the question, Ram Charan reportedly explained that Peddi revolves around the theme of empowering villages and uplifting rural communities. He added that the film loosely aligns with the spirit of the government’s “Viksit Bharat” vision.
Charan further revealed that during the conversation, PM Modi spoke about a football player named Mohammed who emerged from a remote village near West Bengal. The Prime Minister reportedly shared how the player’s success inspired many others from the same village, with more than 80 youngsters now actively participating in the sport.
Connecting the story to the film’s theme, Ram Charan explained that Peddi highlights the journey of a person who inspires and empowers people around him to bring meaningful change to society.
The trailer has already hinted that Ram Charan will be seen playing multiple sports in the film, and his latest comments suggest that the movie also carries a strong social message beneath its commercial and emotional layers.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is gearing up for a grand pan-India theatrical release on June 4.
