Senior Filmmaker’s Strong Comments On ‘Liger’!

Well-known producer and director Tammareddy Bharadwaja made some key comments on Vijay Deverakonda’s latest release ‘Liger’. As we know, the film tanked at the box office and everyone are bashing the film left right and center. The audience rejected the film straightaway and claimed that it is the weakest work in Puri Jagannadh’s career. The collections have dropped heavily and it is expected to end as one of the biggest disasters this year.

When a reporter asked about the reason why ‘Liger’ flopped, Tammareddy stated that he doesn’t want to speak a lot about the movie as he did not watch it. He added that he is an admirer of Puri Jagannadh and his work but the trailer of ‘Liger’ did not get him excited. He stated that he may watch it in the future.

Speaking about the audience not coming to theatres, he said, “The reaction of the audience depends on our actions. If you show arrogance and attitude, it will automatically land you in trouble. Filmmakers should promote the film in a humble manner by explaining about the hard work. People will give these types of answers if expect them to see the film just by snapping your fingers.”

Talking about the boycott trend, he stated that these trends will occur as the social media grows bigger and bigger. He opined that people who start these trends do not usually watch movies and suggested everyone to ignore such people.

Presented by Karan Johar, ‘Liger’ is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. Ananya Pandey was the female lead in this project while Ramya Krishnan was seen playing the role of the hero’s mother. The film was promoted extensively and was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam languages. It is running in empty theatres at the moment.
