Shah Rukh Khan, the undisputed king of Bollywood, continues to captivate audiences worldwide with his unparalleled charisma and acting prowess. Despite his global stardom, the actor has consistently maintained a strategic distance from Hollywood.

In a recent candid interview, Khan elucidated his perspective on venturing into the Western film industry. While acknowledging Hollywood’s immense global influence, he emphasized that any potential role would require a meticulous evaluation. Proficiency in the English language and a character that resonates with the respect and admiration bestowed upon him by his Indian fanbase are paramount considerations. The actor underscored his deep-rooted sense of responsibility to his fans, asserting that any role he undertakes must be worthy of their unwavering support.

Rather than pursuing a Hollywood career, Khan expressed a more ambitious aspiration: to elevate the stature of Indian cinema to a global platform, comparable to the prestige enjoyed by Hollywood or French films. Meanwhile, the actor is immersed in the production of his highly anticipated film, “King,” under the direction of Sujoy Ghosh. Described as an action-packed drama, the project holds immense personal significance for Khan, as it represents a long-cherished dream. Lenin Premiers Cancelled at Last Minute

July 9, 2026

The makers of Lenin have decided against holding premiere shows ahead of the film’s release, despite making extensive preparations.

Initially, the team had planned to screen the film for a select audience tonight, with theatres reportedly locked in for the special premieres. Unlike many recent releases, these shows were not intended as paid benefit screenings, and the makers were prepared to conduct them at regular ticket prices.

However, the plan was shelved at the eleventh hour. According to industry buzz, the decision had nothing to do with ticket pricing. Instead, the team reportedly felt that any negative word-of-mouth emerging from the premiere screenings could impact the film’s opening-day collections. Rather than taking that risk, the makers opted to begin the film’s journey directly with regular theatrical shows.

As a result, Lenin will now open with early morning shows tomorrow across theatres.

Meanwhile, advance bookings are underway, but the initial response is said to be below expectations. Trade sources indicate that, apart from the 8 a.m. shows, occupancy in most theatres has remained modest so far. This suggests that a section of the audience is waiting for the first reviews and public talk before booking their tickets.

Starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles, Lenin is jointly produced by Annapurna Studios and Sithara Entertainments. The film is significant as Akhil’s first venture set against a rural backdrop, while the music has been composed by Thaman.
