Actress Janhvi Kapoor, who made her Telugu debut with Devara: Part 1 in 2024 and later explored Malayalam cinema with the 2025 project Param Sundari, has openly spoken about her experiences working across multiple South Indian languages. Although she is primarily known as a Bollywood star, Janhvi has now begun embracing a multilingual acting journey.

In a recent interaction with IANS, the actress said she now considers herself somewhat familiar with multiple languages, but admitted that Malayalam was particularly challenging. When asked if she plans to learn more languages, she responded, “All of it, really.”

Janhvi also revealed that while she found Malayalam beautiful, she struggled with it and does not plan to attempt it again in the near future. “It’s too difficult for me. It’s such a beautiful, sweet language, but I think I’ve been phonetically quite familiar with Tamil and Telugu,” she said.

The actress added that she is thoroughly enjoying working in Telugu cinema and is also open to exploring Tamil films in the future. Her growing connection with South Indian cinema continues to expand as she takes on more diverse roles.

Janhvi is currently gearing up for the release of her Telugu film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film features a strong ensemble cast including Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu, and is scheduled to release on June 4.

On the Bollywood front, she was last seen in Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, directed by Shashank Khaitan, alongside Varun Dhawan, Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi. The film follows a light-hearted story of heartbreak, mistaken relationships, and a wedding crash plan involving ex-partners.

Since her debut with Dhadak in 2018, Janhvi Kapoor has steadily built her filmography with projects like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Mili, and Devara: Part 1. She has also received critical appreciation for her performance in Homebound, where she portrayed a woman facing social discrimination.
