Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin Release Postponed to July 10 Again

June 15, 2026

Akhil Akkineni’s Lenin, which was originally scheduled for release on June 26, has now been postponed to July 10.

The film has already faced multiple delays, and this latest postponement has left fans disappointed. However, they are hoping that the final outcome will be worth the long wait.

Lenin is jointly produced by Annapurna Studios and Sithara Entertainments. While Annapurna Studios is primarily overseeing the production, Naga Vamsi is handling the execution and also managing the non-theatrical business of the film.

On the theatrical front, Annapurna Studios will distribute the film in key regions such as Nizam, Uttarandhra, and Krishna, where they have their own distribution network. In other areas, Naga Vamsi’s regular distribution partners will handle the release, operating on his assurance and agreed terms. Ultimately, the film’s success will play a crucial role in determining the overall returns.

Reportedly, Nagarjuna is highly confident about the film’s performance. Lenin is considered a crucial project for Akhil Akkineni, whose career is still awaiting a major breakthrough at the box office.

The film is directed by Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame Murali Kishor Abburu and presents Akhil in a rooted, realistic role for the first time, where he also speaks in the Chittoor dialect.

Initially, Sreeleela was cast as the female lead but was later replaced by Bhagyashri Borse after a schedule. The makers feel Bhagyashri now fits the role better, especially after the latest promotional content.
