Taapsee Pannu’s upcoming film ‘Shabaash Mithu’ has finally got a release date. After much delay due to the pandemic, the sports drama will hit the theatres on July 15. The biopic sees Taapsee playing the role of iconic cricketer Mithali Dorai Raj.
On Friday, the makers of the film announced the release date of Shabaash Mithu. Talking about the movie, it will trace the journey of Mithali Raj from being an 8-year-old kid with a dream to become a cricketing legend.
Taapsee shared a new poster of Shabaash Mithu with the release date of the film. “There is nothing more powerful than a girl with a dream and a plan to realise it! This is a story of one such girl who chased her dream with a bat in this “Gentleman’s Game” #ShabaashMithu The Unheard Story Of Women In Blue will be in cinemas on 15th July 2022,” she captioned her post.
Shabaash Mithu will reflect on Mithali Raj’s cricketing journey spanning 23 years, 7 consecutive 50s in ODIs and 4 World Cups.
