After creating curiosity with the recently released glimpse and poster of Peddi, fresh reports are now revealing interesting details about Janhvi Kapoor’s character in the film opposite Ram Charan.

Earlier, many believed Janhvi would be playing a village sarpanch due to the political undertones seen in the promotional material. However, the latest industry buzz suggests that she is actually portraying the daughter of an MLA in the film.

There is also speculation that her character carries shades similar to Parineeti Chopra’s bold and fiery role in the Bollywood hit Ishaqzaade. Though her screen presence may not be lengthy, insiders say Janhvi’s role is powerful and leaves a strong impact on the narrative. She is also reportedly part of three songs in the sports drama.

After making her Telugu debut with Devara, Janhvi was said to be keen on continuing the franchise with Devara 2. However, reports indicate that the sequel has been pushed indefinitely, with no clear timeline for production in the coming years.

With the future of Devara 2 uncertain, Janhvi is now believed to be placing major expectations on Peddi, which is currently gearing up for its theatrical release on June 4.
