Lovely lady Tamannaah Bhatia has been in the film industry for more than 15 years and while most of the heroines run out of opportunities, the ‘Baahubali’ heroine is still finding ways to keep herself busy. Barring a few exceptions, Tamannaah was restricted to glamorous roles all through her prime whether it is Tamil or Telugu or Hindi film industries. Nonetheless, she shared screen space with most of the star heroes in Telugu and Tamil industries.
Much like every heroine from the North, Tamannaah too desires to become a star heroine in Bollywood. She acted besides the likes of Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar in movies like ‘Himmatwala’ and ‘Entertainment’ which ended up being big failures. Sadly, Tamannah was used for her glamour in Hindi too and the makers did not try to bring out her acting skills.
But she has done some challenging roles in projects like ‘Sye Raa’, ‘Abhinetri’, ‘Maestro’ and web series like ’11th Hour’ as well as ‘November Story’. She proved that she is not just a glam doll known for skin show. She got a good offer in Bollywood and it is her last try to get success in the North according to many experts.
She is working with talented filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar on a movie named ‘Babli Bouncer’. The shooting of this film has been wrapped up and she is hopeful on getting success in Bollywood with this film. Coming to Madhur Bhandarkar, he is going through a lean patch. After giving us wonderful movies like ‘Chandini Bar’, ‘Satta’, ‘Page 3’, ‘Aan’, ‘Corporate’, ‘Traffic Signal’ and ‘Fashion’ which came out in 2008, he had a dip in form as none of his movies like ‘Heroine’, ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’, ‘Jail’, ‘Calendar Girls’ and ‘Indu Sarkar’ worked well at the box office.
We need to see how things turn out for Tamanna and Madhur with ‘Babli Bouncer’. Down South, Tamannah is awaiting the release of ‘Gurthunda Seethakaalam’ and ‘F3’. She is acting alongside Megastar Chiranjeevi in ‘Bholaa Shankar’.
