Telangana BJP chief meets Pawan: What’s up?

In a surprising development, Bharatiya Janata Party Telangana unit president Bandi Sanjay Kumar met power star and Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan at the latter’s residence in Jubilee Hills on Monday.

Both the leaders had a closed-door meeting for over an hour. Though it is not yet known what transpired between the two, the BJP sources said that it was a courtesy call as both the leaders met for the first time after the Karimnagar MP took over Telangana BJP.

However, sources aid the two could have discussed the possibility of Jana Sena-BJP alliance in Telangana as well.

The AP unit of Jana Sena was already in alliance with the BJP there for the ensuing civic body elections which were postponed because of Covid 19.

It is said that Telangana unit too seeks such an arrangement here to considering the image of the actor belonging to strong Kapu community, among the youth.

On the other hand, Nadendla Manohar, former speaker of united AP Assembly and Jansena Political Affairs Committee Chairman, announced that the party will be working with BJP in AP in protesting against the move of TTD to sell immovable properties of Tirumala temple.

The BJP Telangana unit chief has already declared a unified fight against the YSRCP governments’ move to sell Lord Venkateswara’s properties by the Board alleging a communal conspiracy.
