Trisha Talks About Mani Ratnam Getting Serious On Aish & Her!

It is without a doubt that ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is one of the biggest films made in India. The first part is hitting the screens on 30th September and there is a huge hype around this film in Tamil Nadu since it is inspired by legendary writer Kalki Krishnamurthy’s book of the same name. With a stellar cast and a stunning list of top-class technicians, Mani Ratnam made this film on a grand scale.

The promotions are in full swing and the entire team including Tisha, Chiyaan Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Aishwarya Rai and others are going all around the country and organizing events along with giving numerous interviews. In one such interaction with the media, Trisha explained about the time when Mani Ratnam became serious on her and Aishwarya Rai on the sets.

She said, “I fortunately got to meet her and interact with her on the day one of my shoot. She is beautiful inside and out, I don’t even need to say that. The thing is, this was challenging because we are not supposed to like each other too much in this film, but we got along pretty famously on set. There were times when Mani sir would come and say, ‘listen, you guys are taking too much, stop talking, I can’t have this camaraderie for my scene’. There were times when he would scold them too.”

Speaking about Aishwarya Rai, Trisha stated, “She is so warm and one of the most hardworking actors I have worked with. She spoke in chaste Tamil and how it has to be spoken. She will get up at 2 am and get ready with us. I am very honoured that I could share a screen space with her.”

Produced under Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies banners, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, Rahman and R Parthiban are playing key roles. AR Rahman is the music composer. Ravi Varman is the director of photography while Sreekar Prasad is the editor. The action was composed by Kecha Khamphakdee, Sham Kaushal & Dhilip Subbarayan. Dil Raju is releasing the film in Telugu states.
