Nelson Dilipkumar Project Shifted from NTR to Suriya? Industry Buzz
A new industry buzz suggests that the much-talked-about collaboration between NTR and Tamil director Nelson Dilipkumar may no longer be on track.
Reports circulating in film circles indicate that the project, which was initially planned with NTR, has now been shifted towards Tamil star Suriya. However, there is no official confirmation from either side yet.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar, who is currently busy with “Jailer 2” starring Rajinikanth, is also said to be working on another high-profile project featuring Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. Earlier, he was reportedly roped in by Sithara Entertainments for a film with NTR.
Now, industry speculation suggests that producer Naga Vamsi may have redirected the project to Suriya, who is reportedly looking for a strong commercial director for his milestone 50th film.
Suriya’s 50th project is expected to begin either next year or in early 2028, while NTR’s schedule is already packed with big films, including “Dragon” with Prashanth Neel and an ambitious mythological drama with Trivikram.
With NTR committed to multiple large-scale projects, aligning dates for Nelson’s film appears challenging at the moment, reportedly opening the door for Suriya to take over the project.
