TRS plans plenary in November, KTR begins preparations

The ruling TRS in Telangana is planning an organizational overhaul. With the plenary meetings getting washed away due to Corona in the last two years, the party is now planning to have the plenary during November. On Wednesday KTR held a tele-conference with the key functionaries of the party on this issue.

The last time the TRS plenary was held was in April 2018. The next was planned in April 2020. But it had to be cancelled due to the first wave of Corona and the consequent lockdown from March 2020. Now that the Corona situation is under leash, the party is planning to have the plenary. As part of it, KTR directed the party functionaries to furnish all the required details by Thursday.

KTR said that the village level committees were constituted by September 12 and the mandal level committees by September 20. Party president and chief minister KCR would announce the district committees in October and the state committee would be announced in November, soon after which the plenary would be held. The TRS is planning to organize the plenary on a grand scale.

Meanwhile, KTR has also asked the party functionaries, especially the MLAs to be thoroughly prepared for the monsoon session of the Telangana assembly, which will commence from September 24.
