Sunita Ahuja, wife of Bollywood star Govinda, made a candid and entertaining appearance on the reality show Lock Upp: Sach Ya Saza, where she spoke openly about her marriage and shared several personal anecdotes that quickly grabbed attention.

During the premiere episode, host Farah Khan brought up an old headline that read, “I want a son like Govinda, not a husband,” and asked Sunita to explain the statement.

Responding with her trademark honesty, Sunita admitted that Govinda had multiple affairs during their marriage but said she chose to stand by him through the years. She remarked that love requires patience and acceptance, adding that despite everything, she believes Govinda possesses qualities that make him an ideal son.

She said, “In love, you should be able to tolerate everything. Chi Chi had many affairs in his life. Heroes and heroines often go through such phases. I have stood by him for so many years, so I think I deserve a son like him.”

The conversation took a humorous turn when co-host Riteish Deshmukh read another headline referring to a “third person” entering a marriage. Sunita responded with a witty remark directed at Govinda, joking that problems begin only when someone else enters the relationship.

She also addressed the rumours surrounding Govinda’s past knee injury with a light-hearted comment, saying she was not even in Mumbai at the time and was instead visiting Khatu Shyam, dismissing speculation with her characteristic humour.

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja tied the knot in 1987 but kept their marriage under wraps for nearly two years. They publicly revealed their relationship only after the birth of their daughter, Tina Ahuja. The couple also has a son, Yashvardhan Ahuja.
