Trump’s Remark on India in Ukraine Peacekeeping Proposal Sparks Attention

US President Donald Trump, known for his unpredictable remarks on global affairs, has reportedly made comments about India in the context of discussions on the Ukraine–Russia conflict, according to a recently published book.

The book claims that during a White House discussion on US strategy regarding the Ukraine war, Vice President JD Vance suggested deploying troops from countries like India or Saudi Arabia as part of a potential peacekeeping arrangement. However, the proposal was reportedly dismissed by Trump.

As per the account, Trump reacted by saying that India would not agree to such a plan and would not contribute financially to such an initiative. He is also said to have remarked that while Prime Minister Narendra Modi “liked him,” India typically does not pay for such international arrangements.

The report further suggests that Trump laughed off the proposal, expressing skepticism about the idea of Indian participation in funding or supporting such military deployments abroad.

These claims are based on the contents of the newly published book and have not been officially confirmed by the White House or the Indian government.
