The death of Twisha Sharma, who also appeared in the Telugu film Mugguru Monagallu, has sparked widespread attention and a legal investigation.
Twisha Sharma, an MBA graduate from Noida, was found dead at her matrimonial home in Bhopal on May 12. Following her death, her family has raised allegations of dowry harassment and mental and physical abuse, and has called for a detailed investigation.
Recently surfaced CCTV footage from the residence shows her movement inside the premises shortly before the incident, which is now being reviewed by investigators as part of the ongoing probe.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been formed to examine allegations related to dowry harassment, possible assault, and evidence tampering. The case is currently being investigated by local police authorities, who are treating it as a sensitive matter.
Twisha’s family has demanded a second post-mortem and a court-monitored investigation, claiming there are signs that require further medical and forensic examination. They also staged protests seeking a transparent inquiry.
Meanwhile, the accused family has denied all allegations. In legal proceedings, one of the accused has reportedly sought anticipatory bail, while another plea has already been addressed by the court.
The investigation is ongoing, and officials have stated that further clarity will emerge once forensic and legal findings are completed.
