UAE Indian Embassy Consular Services to Temporarily Pause During Transition Period

If you are planning to apply for a passport, visa, or attestation service in the UAE, you should be aware of an important update from the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. The Embassy has announced a change in its outsourced consular service provider, with Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC set to take over operations from July 1, 2026. Due to this transition, there will be a temporary disruption in regular appointment services for a few days.

Existing service providers BLS International and SGIVS Global will stop accepting new applications after June 25. Following this, there will be no regular appointments available across the UAE from June 26 to June 30 for passport, visa, or other consular services. Applicants are advised to complete their submissions before this cut-off period to avoid inconvenience or delays.

Applications that are already submitted before the transition date will continue to be processed through the current service centres without interruption. From July 1 onwards, all new applications will be handled exclusively through centres operated by the new service provider, Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC.

During the five-day gap, emergency consular assistance will continue to be available directly through the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai. Individuals requiring urgent support can contact the designated helpline numbers, WhatsApp support, or email provided by the Embassy for assistance.

The change in service provider follows a formal tender and evaluation process conducted by the Embassy, which selected Al Hind Tours and Travel LLC to manage outsourced consular services going forward. Authorities have stated that arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth transition and minimal disruption to services for applicants.

The Embassy has also urged members of the Indian community in the UAE to rely only on official communication channels for accurate updates regarding passport, visa, and attestation services during this transition period.
