The highly anticipated Telugu film Varanasi is steadily progressing through production, and fresh updates from the project have further heightened excitement among movie lovers. Renowned writer Vijayendra Prasad recently shared intriguing details about the film during a fan interaction, offering a glimpse into the scale and ambition of the project.

According to Vijayendra Prasad, one of the film’s biggest highlights will be a breathtaking 30-minute sequence that left even him completely mesmerized. The episode reportedly features an epic battle between Lord Rama and Kumbhakarna, promising a grand cinematic spectacle unlike anything seen before on the Indian screen.

Adding to the excitement, acclaimed actor Prithviraj Sukumaran is said to be portraying the powerful antagonist Kumbha, setting the stage for an intense confrontation. The sequence is expected to be one of the most visually stunning and emotionally charged portions of the film.

Director S.S. Rajamouli had earlier confirmed that superstar Mahesh Babu will appear as Lord Rama during a significant segment of the story. Speaking about the project previously, Rajamouli described the filmmaking process as extremely challenging, revealing that each major episode felt like making an individual film due to its scale, complexity, and visual demands.

The film also stars Priyanka Chopra in the role of Mandakini, adding further star power to the ambitious venture. With Rajamouli at the helm, Mahesh Babu leading the cast, and Vijayendra Prasad crafting the story, expectations surrounding the project continue to soar.

Varanasi is being mounted on a massive scale and is widely regarded as one of the most eagerly awaited Indian films in production. The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027, and fans are already counting down to witness what promises to be a landmark cinematic experience.
