BJP leader and Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ was rushed to the New Delhi facility of All India Institute Of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Tuesday due to post-covid complications, reports claimed.
Quoting AIIMS officials, the News Agency ANI said that the Union Minister was admitted to the top medical facility following post-Covid complications today.
The Minister visited the AIIMS, over one month after testing positive for the novel Coronavirus. He had come in contact with the deadly virus on April 21 and recovered from the virus later.
Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ was admitted to AIIMS at the time, when he was supposed to take a call on Class 12 Board exams as the Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a petition on the exams on the 3rd of June.
To decide on the exams, the Union Minister sought inputs and suggestions from the States/Union Territories on whether to suspend the exams given the Covid scare. We have to wait and see, what decision will the Centre take on board exams as the Minister was admitted to AIIMS.

Mahesh Babu Sports Drama Buzz After Varanasi
June 18, 2026

Director Buchi Babu Sana had earlier expressed his wish to direct Superstar Mahesh Babu after the release of Peddi, and reports suggest he may have already narrated a basic storyline to the star. However, industry talk indicates that the script is still in its early stages and needs to be fully developed before any formal pitch happens.
Meanwhile, another strong buzz is doing the rounds. It is being said that Mahesh Babu might not be moving in Buchi Babu’s direction, but could instead take up a sports drama being planned by director Anil Ravipudi. According to reports, Ravipudi has already narrated a sports-based story where Mahesh would reportedly be seen in the role of a coach. If things fall into place, the project is expected to go on floors after Mahesh completes Varanasi, the much-awaited film being shaped by SS Rajamouli.
In the meantime, Anil Ravipudi is also busy wrapping up his next film with Venkatesh and Kalyanram, which is targeting a Sankranthi 2027 release. Only after completing their respective commitments are Mahesh and Ravipudi expected to collaborate again, marking their second outing after the blockbuster Sarileru Neekevvaru.
Interestingly, this means Mahesh may once again step into a sports backdrop, but not with Buchi Babu Sana’s Peddi team. However, by the time Varanasi hits theatres, Mahesh Babu’s stardom is expected to undergo a major shift, with a stronger pan-world appeal following Rajamouli’s film. In that scenario, whether a relatively localized entertainer from Anil Ravipudi would fit into his evolving lineup remains to be seen, making the post-Varanasi phase crucial for his future choices.
