Vaishnav Tej says Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi are behind his acting debut

Panja Vaishnav Tej is the latest mega hero to try his hand at acting and he will be making his debut with Uppena which is gearing up for release on 12th February.

When asked what inspired him to become an actor, Vaishnav Tej said Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi encouraged him to start a career in Tollywood.

“I intended to become a race car driver, a jewellery designer, and many other things but none of my efforts conceptualized. At last I decided to join the Indian army and started losing weight. In the process, I received a few movie offers and this when Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan came in and persuaded me to kick-start my acting career,” he said.

In an interesting revelation of sorts, Vaishnav Tej said Vijay Sethupathi is a very humble person and incidentally, he gave Rs 1000 to each and every crew member on the last day of shoot.

Speaking about the seemingly peculiar climax of Uppena, Vaishnav said one has to watch the film to understand the depth of the climax and added that he is proud to do a film like Uppena.
