For years, Ram Pothineni has constantly reinvented himself on screen. From energetic dance performances and intense action roles to singing and even writing lyrics for Andhra King Taluka, Ram has always explored new creative avenues. But with his latest project, he is taking perhaps his boldest step yet — turning storyteller and director.

His upcoming film, tentatively titled #RAPO23, is not just another addition to his filmography. It marks Ram’s directorial debut, with the actor also penning the story himself. Choosing a psychological action thriller as his first venture behind the camera, Ram appears determined to present audiences with an entirely new cinematic experience.

On the occasion of his birthday, the makers unveiled the film’s first-look poster, instantly grabbing attention with its dark and mysterious atmosphere. Ram will be seen as Veera, a character introduced with a striking back-facing pose, wearing a leather jacket and sporting a sharp V-cut hairstyle that adds to the intense look.

The poster’s biggest highlight is the giant glowing red “V” in the background, symbolizing danger, rebellion, and mystery. Surrounded by eerie skyscrapers and shadow-filled visuals, the design hints at a gritty world where the protagonist walks a lonely and dangerous path. The tagline, The Story of a Lone Wolf, further builds intrigue around the character and the narrative.

Apart from directing and acting, Ram has also taken responsibility for shaping the story, making the project a deeply personal one. The film is being produced by Krishna Pothineni under the Rapo Cinematics banner.

The shoot is expected to begin in June, and the makers are reportedly aiming for a December theatrical release. More details about the cast and technical crew are expected to be revealed soon.
