Lady superstar Nayanthara is one of the very few heroines in the film industry who plays by her own rules. She was also a quintessential commercial heroine used only for glamour at one point in her career but she started to dictate terms as she became a star.
The star heroine no longer does skin show in movies and doesn’t even take part in promotions. Whether it is a star hero film or a heroine-oriented movie, her work gets done when she completes the dubbing. She doesn’t promote the film by giving interviews even if it is Rajnikanth’s or Chiranjeevi’s films.
But it will be interesting to see if she bends her rules for the upcoming film ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kadhal’. Apart from being one of the lead actresses, she is a co-producer of the film while her boyfriend Vignesh Shivan is the director.
This film is very crucial for her career as her money is at stake this time. Will she come out and promote her own film? or will she handle it like any other movie? Only time will tell.
This romantic drama has Vijay Sethupathi in the lead while Nayanthara and Samantha are the heroines in this project. It is hitting the big screens on 28th April. News is that Samantha and Nayanthara will be jointly giving interviews in the coming days. Vijay Sethupathi is will be playing the role of Rambo in the film while Nayanthara’s role is named Kanmani Ganguly.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu plays the role of Khatija while Prabhu, Kala Master, Seema, Redin Kingsley and others play crucial roles. Music is given by Anirudh and Rowdy Pictures and Seven Screen Studios have jointly produced ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’.
Nayanthara’s boyfriend Vignesh Shivan who earlier made ‘Nenu Rowdy Ne’ with Vijay Sethupathi is the director of this film along with being the writer. SR Kathir ISC and Vijay Karthik Kannan are cinematographers while Sreekar Prasad is the editor.
