Sreeleela Faces Trolls After Lenin

Following the success of Lenin, Telugu actress Sreeleela has found herself at the centre of social media discussions after Bhagyashri Borse, who eventually played the female lead opposite Akhil Akkineni, received widespread appreciation for her performance.
Sreeleela was originally cast in the film and reportedly participated in the initial schedule before exiting the project. She was subsequently replaced by Bhagyashri Borse. While the makers never officially disclosed the reason for the change, industry reports suggested that scheduling conflicts and date issues may have led to Sreeleela stepping away from the film.
After the film’s release, Bhagyashri’s performance and on-screen chemistry with Akhil drew positive reviews, prompting comparisons between the two actresses on social media. A section of netizens opined that Bhagyashri suited the role well, leading to discussions about the casting change.
Although Sreeleela has largely maintained a controversy-free image throughout her career, she has recently become the subject of online criticism. While many continue to admire her energetic screen presence and exceptional dancing skills, some social media users have questioned her recent script selections and performances.
Apart from Bhagavanth Kesari, several of her recent releases have not performed as expected at the box office. This has fueled the perception among some fans that she accepted too many projects in a short span after achieving early success, leaving little room for carefully choosing content-driven roles.
Despite the ongoing online debate, Sreeleela remains one of the busiest and most in-demand young actresses in Telugu cinema, with multiple projects currently in various stages of production.
As of now, neither Sreeleela nor the makers of Lenin have officially commented on the exact reason behind her exit from the film, leaving the speculation unconfirmed.
