Is Trivikram Missing the Pan-India Wave?

Trivikram Srinivas is one of the most popular directors in the Telugu film industry, known for his strong dialogues and family entertainers. However, in recent years, discussions have emerged comparing his career trajectory with peers like S.S. Rajamouli and Sukumar, while younger filmmakers such as Prashanth Neel and Sandeep Reddy Vanga have also moved ahead in terms of pan-India reach.
At present, Trivikram is working on a family entertainer tentatively titled Adarsha Kutumbam, starring Venkatesh. While the project is expected to appeal strongly to Telugu audiences, some industry observers feel that the director has not yet fully explored the larger-scale, mass-action space that dominates the current pan-India trend.
His only notable mass-oriented film so far remains Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, featuring Jr NTR. Since then, Trivikram has largely focused on family dramas and emotional narratives rooted in simple, relatable themes.
There is also speculation about his ambitious project often referred to as God of War, though there is uncertainty about whether it will materialize in the near future. Industry talk suggests that if Trivikram aims to join the top tier of pan-India directors, he may need to experiment with larger canvases involving high-budget action, fantasy elements, and wider storytelling scope.
While Adarsha Kutumbam is currently seen as a Telugu-focused film, examples like KGF, Kantara, and Manjummel Boys show that regional films can unexpectedly gain nationwide attention after release.
Trivikram is also reportedly busy shaping another project referred to as #AK47, featuring Srinidhi Shetty, Suniel Shetty, and others, with plans moving forward steadily. Once his current commitments are completed, all eyes will be on his next creative direction.
Ultimately, industry watchers believe that there is no shortcut to entering the top league of pan-India cinema, and only consistently large-scale storytelling will determine where Trivikram stands in the evolving landscape.
