Director Venu Udugula, who recently turned producer with the successful film Raju Weds Rambai, is now gearing up for another interesting venture. The film has emerged as a hit, and he is already busy lining up his next production as well.

Meanwhile, he is also set to return to direction with a new project that is reportedly being bankrolled by the prestigious Swapna Cinemas banner. The film is said to be titled Chukkalu Themmanna Tenchuku Raana, and early buzz around the project is already generating curiosity.

According to industry speculation, the film is expected to be a female-centric story, with names like Sreeleela and Bhagyashri Borse being considered for key roles. However, the makers are keen on bringing Sai Pallavi on board, especially considering her strong performance in Virata Parvam, a film that had a similar emotional and political backdrop, and also because of Venu Udugula’s earlier successful collaboration with her.

Reports suggest that the film will be set against the sensitive issue of liquor prohibition during NTR’s tenure in the united Andhra Pradesh. While the backdrop is politically and emotionally charged, the narrative is expected to explore the subject in a balanced manner without directly taking a pro- or anti-stance on the policy.
