Actor Murali Sharma is currently one of the busiest and most sought-after character artists in the Telugu film industry. Known for bringing depth and authenticity to every role he portrays, the versatile performer has become a favorite choice among filmmakers. However, the journey to this level of success was far from easy. In a recent interview, Murali Sharma revealed that most of the major opportunities and achievements in his life arrived much later than expected.

Speaking about his personal and professional journey, Murali Sharma shared several interesting insights. Recalling his love marriage, he joked that had he decided to marry at a younger age, his family might have objected. But since everything in his life happened relatively late, he never faced such challenges.

The actor also revealed that he initially entered the film industry with dreams of becoming a hero. However, by the time meaningful opportunities started coming his way, his age and appearance naturally steered him toward father and character roles. Instead of resisting the change, Murali embraced the opportunities available to him and made the most of them.

He acknowledged that many actors with greater talent than him could not achieve the same level of success. According to Murali, his determination and refusal to give up on his goals may have played a crucial role in shaping his career. At the same time, he admitted that there were periods when he drifted away from his original ambitions.

Before establishing himself as an actor, Murali Sharma worked in production and also spent several years as a journalist. He revealed that he genuinely enjoyed journalism and remained in the profession for nearly six to seven years. The actor added that writing comes naturally to him and that his wife still encourages him to write celebrity columns whenever possible.

Murali Sharma’s wife, Ashwini Kalsekar, is also a well-known actress with a successful career in Hindi television and cinema. Telugu audiences may remember her for her role in Badrinath, where she played Tamannaah’s aunt. Murali credited Ashwini for being a constant source of support throughout his career and personal life.

Born in Tenali and raised in Mumbai, Murali Sharma first earned recognition in Bollywood before finding widespread popularity in Telugu cinema. His memorable performances in films such as Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, Ninnu Kori, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, and Most Eligible Bachelor helped him establish a strong connection with Telugu audiences.

Though he never became the conventional hero he once aspired to be, Murali Sharma has emerged as a performer whose presence often elevates an entire film. His journey—from delayed opportunities to becoming one of Tollywood’s most respected character actors—continues to inspire aspiring artists across the industry.
