Speculation surrounding actress Rukmini Vasanth’s next Telugu project appears to have run ahead of reality. While reports claimed that she had been finalized as the female lead opposite Nithiin in Nani’s upcoming production, sources suggest that no such confirmation has been given yet.

The film, which will reportedly star Nithiin in the lead, is expected to be produced by Nani under his home banner. Directed by Dhandoraa fame Murali Kanth, the project is said to have impressed Nani, with an official announcement likely once the remaining formalities are completed.

The makers are indeed keen on casting Rukmini Vasanth as the heroine. However, when approached, the actress is understood to have only expressed interest in hearing the proposal and considering it. Before any final decision was made, reports began circulating that she had already signed the film.

According to industry sources, Rukmini is yet to commit to the project. With Nithiin occupied with his current film until around October and Rukmini juggling multiple commitments, scheduling appears to be one of the key concerns. The actress is said to be unsure whether she can accommodate the required dates.

For now, discussions remain at a preliminary stage, and nothing has been officially finalized.

Meanwhile, Nani is completely focused on wrapping up the shoot of The Paradise, which is expected to be completed within the next month. Once that is done, he is likely to turn his attention to the Nithiin project, after which an official update on the casting, including Rukmini Vasanth’s involvement, is expected.
