Director SS Rajamouli has shared a major update on his much-awaited film Varanasi, starring Superstar Mahesh Babu, revealing that the project is entering its final phase of production.

Speaking during a recent interaction, Rajamouli said the film’s major action sequences have already been completed. He added that only around 80 days of shooting remain before the team wraps production and shifts its focus to post-production.

Varanasi has been one of the most anticipated Indian films ever since its announcement, with the Rajamouli–Mahesh Babu collaboration generating immense excitement among fans across the country.

Last year, the filmmaker unveiled the film’s title and introduced Mahesh Babu’s character through a striking first look, featuring the superstar riding an ox while holding a trident, instantly sparking widespread discussion on social media.

With production nearing completion, Varanasi is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on April 7, 2027.
