BoyFriend For Hire: The PROFESSION, A Unique Selling PROPOSITION

Title is crazy, Content is new, competition is less, audience mood is right, and the season favors the business. What else a small film needs to become big? This is exactly happening with ‘Boyfriend for Hire movie’ which is checking its luck on 14th October.

The USP of the movie is ‘Hiring a boyfriend’ which is unexplored so far in India cinema. A girl can have any problem, she can share her feelings with her parents and friends but few she can’t as it needs someone to understand, own and free her from the mess. ‘Someone’ could be her real boyfriend but again, making a boyfriend for that purpose makes no sense as it requires commitment. What if someone becomes an instant boyfriend? And the commitment with him is purely temporary and need based? It works even if the society doesn’t accept. It works if it is dealt with pure intentions.

Because of its unique concept and the untold story, the movie has all advantages compared to others releasing on the same day. We see some movies get instant craze because of over-the-top promotions, celebrities supporting the movie and the other factors such as viralling some act or a speech just to grab instant attention of audience. This is good until it reaches the screens but its sustainability depends purely on the content it holds.

Boyfriend for Hire movie being small, doesn’t have above listed features but it is learnt that it has a very good chance to sustain at theatres with the content it holds. Its title, its concept and its way of presenting itself prior to exhibition on screens reminds “where there is a smoke, there is a fire”. Let’s wait and see if it succeeds in achieving its goal.
