
Marking International Yoga Day, the Andhra Pradesh government successfully organized the prestigious ‘Yogandhra’ event at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada on Saturday. Renowned Yoga guru Baba Ramdev graced the occasion and led the mass yoga session.
The event’s biggest attraction was the active participation of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who once again impressed everyone with his remarkable fitness levels. At the age of 76, Naidu drew widespread admiration as he effortlessly performed several challenging Yogasanas and Pranayama techniques alongside Baba Ramdev.
Demonstrating exceptional flexibility and stamina, the Chief Minister executed intense stretches and complex postures with ease, reinforcing the belief that age is just a number. Known for maintaining a disciplined and healthy lifestyle despite his demanding political and administrative responsibilities, Naidu continues to set an example with his tireless work ethic and commitment to fitness.
Over the years, the veteran leader has often spoken about the importance of healthy eating habits and an active lifestyle. His performance at the Yoga Day celebrations once again highlighted why he is regarded as one of the fittest senior political leaders in the country.
The mega event witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of people, with arrangements made across two venues to accommodate nearly 7,000 yoga practitioners. Education Minister Nara Lokesh, along with several cabinet colleagues and fitness enthusiasts, also actively took part in the session, making the ‘Yogandhra’ event a grand success.
