Congress supremo Sonia Gandhi phones V Hanumantha Rao

It is known that former Rajya Sabha MP and Telangana Congress senior leader, V Hanumantha Rao has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

Now, AICC president Sonia Gandhi has phoned the veteran leader and inquired about his health. It is heard that VH said to her that he is suffering from a kidney ailment and he is doing fine now.

Sonia advised him to take care of himself, and she gave her blessings to V. Hanumantha Rao. Yesterday, Congress leader KC Venu Gopal phoned VH to know the details of his health condition. VH thanked Sonia Gandhi and Venugopal for reaching out to him and showing concern about his health.

The 73-year-old has a long-term association with the Gandhi family. He has been working as the AICC secretary in Telangana for a long time now.
