its Anitha vs Divya Vani in TDPs Telugu Mahila

The Telugu Mahila was once led by redoubtable women leaders who played a key role in lifting up the fortunes of the party. Unfortunately, the Telugu Mahila, the women’s wing of the party, does not have leaders of great stature and charisma. Even the handful present are busy fighting among themselves, let alone fighting.

Ever since Vangalapudi Anitha was made the chief of the Telugu Mahila, the attendance at the Telugu Mahila programmes has thinned. The TDP women leaders are skipping the meetings. A group, said to be opposed to Anitha, is said to be sabotaging the meetings.

On the other hand, Anitha group is said to be trying to reduce the importance of party’s spokesperson and actress Divya Vani. The Anitha Group reportedly stopped inviting her to the Telugu Manila meetings. Divya Vani is now focusing only on Palnadu politics and has stopped attending the Telugu Mahila programmes.

For Chandrababu, women voters are of critical importance. He feels that Telugu Mahila can play a key role in mobilising the support of women voters. With the elections just two years away Chandrababu is pinning his hopes on Telugu Mahila. But, the Telugu Mahila is a divided house and is unable to put up a united fight.
