Kangana Reacts to Ketan Agarwal Murder Case

Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has shared her views on the alleged murder of 26-year-old Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal, saying that parents should not automatically be blamed for the actions of their children. In a post on Instagram, Kangana argued that a person’s values and behaviour are increasingly shaped by social media, artificial intelligence, peer groups, and external influences rather than family alone.

Reflecting on the case, Kangana wrote that it has become difficult to judge a child’s upbringing merely by looking at their family or home environment. She questioned who is truly influencing young people today, pointing to digital platforms, AI, and social circles as major factors. According to her, many people lead “parallel lives” and carefully curate their public image, making it unfair to hold families solely responsible for their children’s actions.

Her remarks come amid the ongoing investigation into the death of Ketan Agarwal, who died on June 18 after falling from Lohagad Fort near Pune. Police are treating the incident as a suspected murder. Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her friend, Chetan Chaudhary, have been arrested and remain in police custody as the investigation progresses.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met Ketan’s father, Vishal Agarwal, in Pune on Friday and assured the family that the state government is committed to delivering justice. Expressing his condolences, the Chief Minister said the guilty would face the harshest possible punishment and that no effort would be spared in ensuring a fair investigation.

The Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Office later reiterated the assurance in a post on X, stating that the government is determined to ensure strict action against those found responsible for Ketan Agarwal’s death.
