BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha found herself at the centre of a dramatic confrontation with police during a protest in Boduppal on Wednesday, where she was demonstrating in support of Telangana Udyamakarulu and their long-pending demands.
The protest turned tense when police intervened to disperse the gathering and take Kavitha into custody. According to her team, the arrest quickly escalated into a physical scuffle, during which she was allegedly handled roughly by police personnel.
Kavitha’s supporters claimed that she was forcefully lifted by her arms and, during the commotion, fell onto a gravel-covered surface, sustaining injuries. They further alleged that several police personnel also fell on top of her in the struggle before she was dragged to the police vehicle.
