Keerthy Suresh has put an end to rumours surrounding her upcoming Telugu film with director Anil Ravipudi. The actress clarified that the project is not a remake of the Malayalam hit Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, dismissing speculation that had been circulating on social media.
The film features Venkatesh in the lead, with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh, and Krithi Shetty playing pivotal roles. Currently under production, the multi-starrer marks Keerthy’s first collaboration with both Venkatesh and director Anil Ravipudi. It is also her second Telugu release after her marriage to longtime partner Antony Thattil.
Rumours recently suggested that the film was inspired by or based on the 2024 Malayalam blockbuster Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. However, when a fan directly asked her on social media whether the Telugu film was a remake, Keerthy responded with a brief but clear answer: “No it is not.”
Her direct response has effectively ended the speculation surrounding the project. While the makers are yet to reveal the film’s storyline or official plot details, Keerthy’s clarification confirms that Anil Ravipudi’s upcoming entertainer is an original project and not an adaptation of the Malayalam blockbuster.
