Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially become the longest-serving Prime Minister of India, marking a historic milestone in the country’s political history.

With a tenure of over 12 years in office, Modi has completed 4,399 days as Prime Minister, surpassing the previous record held by Jawaharlal Nehru, who served 4,398 days. With this achievement, he has now overtaken three former Congress Prime Ministers—Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Manmohan Singh—to set a new record for the longest continuous leadership in India.

The milestone has drawn widespread attention, with several global leaders and domestic political figures extending their congratulations. Leaders including Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan have also acknowledged the achievement.

Modi’s political journey began from a modest background, gradually rising through the ranks to serve as the Chief Minister of Gujarat before becoming the Prime Minister of India. His long tenure is often highlighted as a period of political stability and continuity in national leadership.

With this record, Narendra Modi now stands as the longest-serving Prime Minister in India’s history, marking a significant chapter in the country’s democratic journey.
