Naveen Polishetty has once again showcased his flair for unconventional promotions, creating buzz for his next film even before it officially goes on floors.
The actor recently shared a humorous reel on X that quickly went viral across social media. What made the video stand out was the presence of some of Indian cinema’s biggest filmmakers—Prashanth Neel, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Sukumar and Rishab Shetty—all appearing in a single frame.
Calling it the “costliest reel” of his career, Naveen joked that it featured some of the country’s most sought-after directors. He also playfully referred to the combined box-office collections of their biggest blockbusters, dubbing it a “₹5,000-crore frame.”
The witty post instantly grabbed fans’ attention and sparked curiosity about Naveen’s upcoming project.
The film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers and is expected to be a full-fledged commercial entertainer. Interestingly, all four directors featured in the reel have previously collaborated with the production house, leading to speculation over who will eventually helm the project. However, the makers are yet to announce the film’s director, cast and technical crew.
While the reel has been widely appreciated for its creativity, it has also triggered a wave of discussions online. A section of social media users argued that one of the filmmakers in the group did not belong alongside the others because of recent box-office setbacks. Though no names have been officially mentioned, the debate has gained traction, with fans divided over whether a few commercial disappointments should define a filmmaker’s legacy.
Regardless of the mixed reactions, Naveen’s promotional strategy has achieved its primary objective. The film has already become a topic of conversation well before production begins, once again highlighting the actor’s knack for innovative marketing.
