OnePlus May Exit US, Europe

Fresh reports suggest that OnePlus could be preparing to scale back its presence in the United States and several European markets as part of a broader global restructuring. While the company has not officially confirmed the development, industry speculation has intensified over the past few months.

According to recent reports, OnePlus and its parent company Oppo are expected to announce strategic changes this week. If the reports prove accurate, OnePlus may stop launching new smartphones in the US and Europe, with Oppo taking on a more prominent role in those regions.

Existing OnePlus users, however, are unlikely to be affected immediately. The company is expected to continue providing software updates, warranty support, and after-sales services for devices already sold. Retailers are also expected to continue selling current inventory, but no fresh shipments are reportedly planned once existing stock is exhausted.

Despite the speculation surrounding its international operations, India and China are expected to remain core markets for OnePlus. There is currently no indication that the company’s business in these countries will be impacted.

OnePlus has continued to expand its product portfolio in India, recently introducing the OnePlus N6 in the affordable smartphone segment. The launch signals the brand’s continued focus on the Indian market, where it remains one of the leading players in the premium smartphone category.

According to Counterpoint Research, OnePlus led India’s affordable premium smartphone segment (priced between ₹30,000 and ₹45,000) during the first quarter of 2026, underlining the brand’s strong position in the country.

For now, the reported exit from the US and Europe remains unconfirmed. A clearer picture is expected once OnePlus or Oppo officially outlines its global strategy and clarifies what the reported restructuring means for consumers across different markets.
