Pawan Kalyan Reacts To Vijay’s Political Tsunami

The deputy chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Pawan Kalyan created history in the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly elections as his party, Jana Sena Party, secured a sensational 21 out of 21 Assembly seats and 2 out of 2 MP seats it contested. The massive strike rate was widely celebrated as one of the most remarkable achievements ever recorded by a film star in Indian politics.

However, political discussions took an interesting turn after actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay reportedly created a political storm in Tamil Nadu with his debut electoral success. Vijay’s rapid rise and the overwhelming public support he received sparked comparisons with Pawan Kalyan, especially among fans and political observers.

Following the Tamil Nadu developments, several supporters of Pawan Kalyan began demanding that he contest independently in Andhra Pradesh as well. Responding to these comparisons earlier, Kalyan clarified that the political atmosphere in Tamil Nadu is entirely different from Andhra Pradesh and such expectations are unrealistic.

Speaking further on the issue recently, Kalyan made an interesting remark. “In Tamil Nadu, they could almost finish elections with campaigns, posters, and flexes alone. It looked so easy there. I even envy that success and feel jealous in a way,” he said with a smile, referring to Vijay’s political rise. “Even after 15 years in politics, I have not experienced such a victory.”

Kalyan’s comments quickly went viral on social media, generating mixed reactions. While some netizens interpreted his statement as genuine admiration mixed with envy over Vijay’s massive mandate, others felt he was simply speaking honestly about the different political realities in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

At the same time, many political observers pointed out that Andhra Pradesh politics is far more alliance-driven and caste-sensitive, making a solo sweep extremely difficult. Several supporters also defended Kalyan, saying his comments reflected political realism rather than jealousy.
